(SWIPE👉) Before this album even existed, I had a lucid dream that I was flying through outer space, and as I got further away from the 🌏 & 🌙 I realized just how small we really are and how many of our biggest issues on earth would be nonexistent if we just love more and work together, allowing for one another’s strengths and weaknesses to harmonize. ☯️☮️💟 When I told my friend @tanold about the dream, he created a beautiful painting of me flying just outside the Milky Way, so I’d never forget. A month later he was killed being the hero he always was to everyone around him... That’s when I decided that his painting would be replicated & printed as the inside of my first album, to honor his memory and keep the core message of that dream at the center of this project. That’s why every purchase of #SoundsFromOuterSpace goes toward more than just me & my dreams, it goes to making this world a better place for all of us. Outside of creating together, the team & I have been focused on helping homeless people in California with their basic needs, but I hope in the future we will have the resources to go far beyond that and create lasting solutions to some of the worlds biggest issues, starting here in California. I have some big ideas that I intend to turn into reality soon but I’m going to need your help. Camille Abordo - SFOS Behind The Lyrics!

camilleabordo I usually let my lyrics do the talking, but today I felt the need to share a piece of the story behind the lyrics. I wrote this song in the studio with a scarf on and bruises around my neck, after someone I believed to be the love of my life had choked me until I saw black for the first time. With him, when things were great, they were great. When things were bad, they were so bad that it would easily be classified as abuse. Even though I know in my heart it’s what’s best for me, it’s been hard to deal with letting go of someone I love, and even harder to forgive myself for allowing him to bring a level of abuse, drama and manipulation into my life that I had never experienced before. Healing has definitely been a process but I’ve been breaking the mental conditioning, practicing self love and transmuting any residual feelings into all of my art forms. I hope in some way, I can help to heal myself and others with my art as I continue creating it all. As my team and I keep busy preparing my next album for release in 2019, shooting music videos back to back and preparing for our first tour, I can honestly say I have never been happier, or felt stronger and more at peace than I do now. I am so grateful to have the ability to do what I love with people I know I can trust with anything. If there is anything I want you guys to take away from this, it’s that your life is truly a gift. Don’t waste your precious energy on anyone or anything that doesn’t feed your soul and nourish your growth. You are more than worthy.
